Adam Campbell Family History

Dr. Moore's book reveals Adam Campbell's genetic ancestry, including his Scotts-Irish roots, using new Y-DNA evidence. Additionally, the book lists nearly 1,500 descendants who lived and died in 30 states, including family members who fought in every major American conflict in the 18^th and 19^th centuries-the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the U.S. Civil war (in both the Union and Confederate armies), Spanish-American War, and World Wars I and II. Additional profiles are provided for Adam Campbell's neighbors in the 18^th century, as well as slaves of the Campbell family and other African American descendants. This book reflects Dr. Moore's attention to detail, which was required for piecing together, from colonial records and genetic genealogy, the story of an 18^th-century pioneer who came from Virginia to northern Rowan County, North Carolina, before the American Revolution.
