Childhood Cancer: One Family's Journey Through the Storm is a non-fiction book written by a mom, Peggy Timm, whose 20-month-old daughter, Alicia, was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness--neuroblastoma. In Alicia's case, a large tumor surrounded her heart. The book is designed to give parents in a similar situation a sense of what they might face, offer them hope, and assure them they are not alone on this journey.
