Takia is a native of Houston who has three beautiful children. Takia is a lover of Christ. She is a God-fearing woman who rarely lets kidney disease get the best of her. Throughout the six years she has dealt with the disease, there were many ups and downs. Without the hand of God on her, her life would have ended in depression and mental frustration. Takia is a person who loves everyone she meets. According to others, her spirit is such, she is a mother to a lot of people.
Takia enjoys cooking and traveling, but most of all, helping and motivating others in their time of need. God has provided her with the tools and equipped her for such a time as this.
Takia's goal is to reach as many people as possible who deal with kidney disease, with encouraging words, visions of hope, and to help them understand this disease is not a death sentence. She says, "We are all here to help one another but sometimes we might need another hand to push us. We are not in this fight alone. God has us covered. Being able to connect with many people will be a blessing and a life-changer."
