ABOUT THIS BOOK
This is volume 2 of a self-learning guide for new professionals and lay readers. This volume covers diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in hospitals and the community. This book is NOT for self diagnosis but to demonstrate the processes. The book contains fictitious case studies, showing how diagnoses are formed, symptoms, treatments and clarifying exercises. A typical 'day in the life of' a range of mental health professionals is useful for dispelling some of the myths around treatment and diagnosis.
