A few years 'ago, I received the awareness that I signed up for my role in this life--to be raised by perpetrators using drugs and alcohol to inflict emotional abuse, intentional neglect, manipulation, lies, refection, and betrayal. At the time of my realiztion I thought, Wow, why would I do that? That's quite a painful assignment. In disbelief, you might also ask, "Are you kidding? Who would ask for that?"
I would, I should clarify, my soul would--and did--in order to experience the grand adventure of all the high and low feelings and manifestations that can only happen in a physical body on the earthly plane.
Dealt this at such a young age, this severe limitation became debilitating, . In order to survive, I had to conform to the environment and the people who designed it. Without permission to be me, the only safe space I felt I had was sitting on my bed, writing on my pillow. When you're in it, you cannot see your part, and you cannot see a way out.
But this is not a story of tragic endings. This is a story of renewal and inspiration, of healing, transformation, and triumph of the human spirit, from one who has come out the other side and blossomed in spite of it--and because of it.
Still nothing happens until I write. So, the final step of my climb out didn't happen until I could see my part and write this book. I am either the problem, or the answer, depending upon my outlook and the frequency I am tuned to. I call it a boomerang.
